Job Summary

Manages to overall day-to-day operation of offsite Ski/Snowboard Rental Delivery. This position is responsible for overall financial management, sales staff supervision and management of our new delivery location offsite space. Oversees hiring, training, coaching and scheduling of delivery personnel. Responsible for sales generation and growth, inventory control, controllable expenses, cash management (if applicable), loss prevention and front to back ownership of delivery vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

As the Store Manager of rental delivery, this job oversees the operations of the first year of rental delivery carried out by Vail Resorts Retail at Telluride:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the rental delivery program
  • Manages through uncertainty and change positively through a new business
  • Manages a team of 5 members
  • Manages the upkeep and safe operation of 2 Delivery Vans during periods of extreme winter weather

Day to day task will often include:

  • Providing consistent and direct feedback, coaching and guidance to team members
  • To drive professional development in yourself as well as others
  • To provide a level of guest service that sets us apart from well-established competitors
  • Execute and track new training plan for associates starting with their first day
  • Ensuring store and staff have all necessary supplies
  • Meeting with other departments and committees to ensure store is aligned with VRR initiatives as well as mountain resort initiatives
  • Creating operational plans for special events, groups, and holidays (if applicable)
  • Identifying new partners in lodging or elsewhere
  • Administrative duties
  • Managing rental inventory, and supplies with cost management in mind
  • Hiring staff and processing payroll through a digital platform
