Job Summary:

Responsible for all logoed and fashion apparel buying and visual merchandising in an effort to maximize sales and profits in your market. Coordinate with Director of Retail, Assistant Director of Retail and other buyers on all product mixes and overall merchandising plan. Directly oversee management of assigned store locations. Provide direction to the Assistant Buyer and Merchandise Coordinator. Responsible for staff hiring, supervision and development. Efficiently maintains product flow between the warehouse and all store locations.

Job Responsibilities:

Buying Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the purchasing and sales analysis of Logoed and Fashion Apparel divisions
  • Evaluate sales trends, and create methods for sales and margin growth.
  • Oversee daily operation of assigned store locations including the hiring of staff (initial hiring in off-season and backfilling in-season), supervision, training, and development. (Operating Season Primarily)
  • Works directly with warehouse management and staff in receiving, distributing, and balancing merchandise
  • Complete purchase orders
  • Comply with departmental budgets and Open to Buy
  • Work with accounting to resolve invoice issues
  • Manages the process of maintaining items into inventory/POS system including vendor creation, item setup, pricing, and reporting
  • Assists in the successful completion of all physical inventories including uploading of data into inventory system and analysis reporting
  • Travel to trade shows, as necessary

Visual Merchandising Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead visual merchandise strategy and create goals in conjunction with management team.
  • Create and implement store visual merchandising plan across all locations including stock replenishment, event creation, signage and setup. Communicate changes to store merchandise and visual plan to store teams.
  • Drive financial growth through the visual merchandise strategy. Execute tests of new concepts, implement merchandising initiatives and provide feedback to retail management team.

Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft computer programs (Word, Excel , Outlook)
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Excel functions (V lookup, Pivot Tables, Macros)
  • Ability to fluently communicate in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal communications
  • Strong organizational and process planning skills


  • Minimum of 1 year of buying/merchandising experience for multiple locations
  • Prior Visual Merchandise experience
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Prior Retail POS experience highly recommended
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Osprey Host & POS, Coupa

The budgeted range starts at $50,000 - $60,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
