This Sales Tax Specialist will join the indirect tax accounting team supporting tax compliance across all North American resort locations. The indirect tax team is responsible for preparation of state and local jurisdictional sales & use, lodging & occupancy, and other indirect tax filings to ensure compliance with all state and local tax requirements. Key responsibilities will include reconciliation of tax accruals, assistance with state and local tax audits, monthly tax calculation & remittance, and ad hoc sales/use tax research as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare indirect tax returns. Analyze data by jurisdiction; apply knowledge of applicable sales and use tax laws and concepts to complete in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist with state and local audits. Serve as liaison between external State, County, and City auditors and internal business partners.
  • Research and resolve tax issues and questions with customer facing locations and internal business partners.
  • Active participation in annual team goals.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent certification
  • 1-3 years preparing sales and use tax returns
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time to meet all deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

The budgeted range starts at $22-$25. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
