Job Summary:

This job is an integral part of the Children's Ski and Ride School experience. The Support Staff is responsible for many aspects of the day-to-day operations in our Ski and Ride School, while also providing the opportunity to enjoy ski and ride breaks. Team members will be responsible for the image, appearance, and functionality of indoor facilities and outdoor teaching areas, including daily set up and tear down, lunch service, and assistance with end of day procedures. Team members will also spend time with small children performing indoor programming activities, assisting in ski school classes and helping to motivate children when necessary. You will also be helping to implement our safe COVID practices with kids, guests, and instructors.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Keeping yourself and your guests SAFE at all times and in all situations.

  • Providing exceptional guest service at all times; sharing your passion for working with kids.

The details:

  • Assist in operational responsibilities of Ski & Ride School programs

  • Daily set up and tear down of outdoor teaching areas with an emphasis on attention to detail to present an area that is sharp and professional in appearance

  • Daily set up and tear down of indoor facilities with an emphasis on attention to detail to present an area that is clean, orderly, welcoming, and conducive to operating efficiently.

  • Prepare snacks and lunch for children in Ski and Ride School.

  • Compliance with relevant food handling safety code.

  • Compliance with relevant health code for facility cleanliness including common areas, toys, equipment, etc.

  • Provide a great experience for guests of all ages.

  • Assist children who are tired or are unwilling to participate in lessons.

  • Assist in implementing our safety policies amongst staff and work environments, including helping monitor staff locker rooms.

  • Display positive and effective communication


  • High School or Equivalent Education.

  • Ability to attend all required training sessions.

  • Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written).

  • CO food handler certificate (may be obtained after accepting the position).

  • Must have excellent guest service skills.

  • Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Must work well in a team.

  • Must successfully complete a Criminal Background Check.

  • Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment.

  • Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions.

  • Must be willing to assist children.

  • Must be available to work holidays and weekends.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a guest service industry with guests of all ages.

  • Previous kitchen/food prep experience.

  • Knowledge of local area/resort.

  • Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring children and/or childcare.

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.(optional)
